BUILT BECAUSE BAD GEAR
WASTES GOOD DAYS.
Josh Landry didn't build HOSS Straps in a boardroom.
He built it in the field — bird hunting, fishing, packing gear in the dark, breaking down after long days. The straps, cords, and tie-downs that were supposed to make things simple kept slipping, snapping, tangling, and slowing everything down.
At some point the thought became impossible to ignore:
there has to be a better way.
That idea became HOSS Straps.
MEET THE FOUNDER
JOSH LANDRY
Founder, Hoss Straps — Dripping Springs, Texas
Josh is the kind of person who tests gear the hard way. He has spent years hunting birds, fishing hard, and working outdoors where conditions are never ideal and gear does not get second chances.
His background includes more than 20 years in real estate development and construction — large-scale projects where durability and attention to detail are not optional. At HOSS Straps, he brings that same mindset to every product: solve a real problem, remove the unnecessary, and build something that holds up.
He built HOSS for people who use their gear hard and do not have time for products that fail when conditions get rough.
BUILT TO FIX WHAT EXISTING GEAR GOT WRONG.
Bungees snap. Zip ties are single use. Most strap systems fail the moment you need them most — cold hands, wet deck, full load, moving fast.
HOSS took a different approach.
Proprietary polyurethane blend built for water, mud, sun, cold, and daily abuse. US patented buckle engineered for speed, strength, and simplicity. 100% weatherproof. Zero corrosion in saltwater. 75+ lb working load.
The buckle was not an afterthought. It was one of the core problems that had to be solved — awkward with cold hands, hard to release under tension, bulky enough to get in the way. HOSS worked the design until it balanced three things at once: speed, strength, and simplicity.
Set it once. Trust it every time.
ROOTED IN DRIPPING SPRINGS, TEXAS.
HOSS Straps is based just outside Austin in Dripping Springs, Texas.
Early mornings. Long drives. Rough weather. Muddy boots. Wet hands. Heavy use. This is the environment HOSS was built for.
The products were not imagined for a lifestyle. They came from one.
Practical. Direct. Built to hold up.
PARTNERS IN CONSERVATION.
HOSS Straps is proud to support organizations that protect the land and water we depend on.
